Enjoy a unique view of the Akron-Canton Airport, from the runway! Join family, friends and fellow aviation-enthusiasts as you watch aircraft depart and arrive from CAK while on the flattest course in the region.

On Saturday, July 10th, 2021 runners, wheelchair athletes and walkers will take off on to the runway of the Akron-Canton Airport to complete the CAK 5K on the Runway.

The fourth annual CAK 5K on the Runway hosted by the Akron-Canton Airport aims to celebrate the past, present and future of aviation with all proceeds of the race being donated to Autism Society of Greater Akron and MAPS Air Museum.

We are limiting the event to a total of 1,000 people.

HEATS
We will be running in TWO heats of 500 people each on race morning. You will register for ONE of the Heats during your registration. Heat times will be 7:30am and 9:30am

AWARDS
Overall and Age Group Awards will be presented for EACH HEAT.

Along the course, participants will pass vintage military aircraft and enter the Ohio National Guard in which they will have the opportunity to shake hands with servicemen and women. After the family-friendly race is complete, participants are welcome to enjoy the MAPS Air Museum for free.

SARCHIONE FORD MILITARY RUNS FREE PROGRAM
We are thrilled to partner with Sarchione Ford as they are sponsoring our Military Runs Free program. 125 Active, Reserve, and Veteran Military will be permitted to run at no cost. This is on a first come first serve basis. You will be required to provide some type of verification before we move you into the final race roster.
