Enjoy a unique view of the Akron-Canton Airport, from the runway! Join family, friends and fellow aviation-enthusiasts as you watch aircraft depart and arrive from CAK while on the flattest course in the region.

On Saturday, October 8th, 2022 runners, wheelchair athletes and walkers will take off on to the runway of the Akron-Canton Airport to complete the CAK 5K on the Runway.

The fifth annual CAK 5K on the Runway hosted by the Akron-Canton Airport aims to celebrate the past, present and future of aviation with all proceeds of the race being donated to the American Heart Association and MAPS Air Museum.

AWARDS
Overall and Age Group Awards will be presented. We will also recognize those who have run with us each of the 5 years with a special race bib.

Along the course, participants will pass vintage military aircraft and enter the Ohio National Guard in which they will have the opportunity to shake hands with servicemen and women. After the family-friendly race is complete, participants are welcome to enjoy the MAPS Air Museum for free.
